#100DAYSOFSUMMER: DAY 23 - EGYPTIAN BLUE

This is a part of the #100DaysOfSummer project of The PR Girl Closet, and we are now on Day 23!

Day 23, 2:00 PM, Fort Canning Park Park Singapore

I was never a huge fan of bright colours; I think they overpower my petite frame when I wear them so I tend to stick to blacks, nudes and whites. When someone takes a peek into my wardrobe, she will most likely see a lot of LBDs and black tops, white sheer tops and more dark-coloured skin-tight bottoms. I like the notion of wearing black (or something that's dark-coloured) since it gives the illusion of a slimmer and longer figure (and you know how much I am obsessed with looking tall. Haha!) That was always the case until I started collecting magazines and learned that bold colours also work just as nice as blacks, nudes and whites.

And just like that, I started admiring Spring/Summer campaigns of fashion designers who are huge believers of incorporating colours into their designs. I'm talking about the happy colours in DVF's wrap dresses, the famous sophisticated red Valentino long gowns, and metallic Versace mini dresses that spells nothing but sexy.

Then I started building up my wardrobe with coloured pieces too like a deep red pencil cut V-neck dress, olive green bondage dress that is very Victoria Beckham, a bold orange long dress which I like to wear at fashion events. I realize colours can liven up an otherwise blah outfit.

I'm wearing this beautiful jumpsuit by resort wear designer and multi-label boutique Simone Irani. It has this gorgeous Egyptian blue colour with embellishments in the neckline and sleeve. I like that the fabric is so light - perfect for Singapore weather. It gives off the illusion of longer legs with its flowy design.

There are more gorgeous designs in Simone Irani's boutique. Make sure to drop by her multi-label shop and see resort wear pieces that are perfect for your next beach holiday and for lounging around the city.

Check them out on Facebook and Instagram for more updates on new collections and events.
