THE PINWHEEL SERIES: BASIC

This is a part of The Pinwheel Series presented by Pinwheel Jewels, a designer fashion jewellery multi-label online store. Check out the fabulous collections at http://www.pinwheeljewels.com/

Basics are what make up any woman's wardrobe. Anyone should start piling up on the basics before they can build a decent wardrobe. And by basics, I mean denims, plain shirts, the requisite white button-down, denim cut-offs, nude lingerie, black patent pumps and ballerina flats. Every woman has her own definition of basic clothing. As for me, this is what makes up my basics - the tightest pair of denim jeans that I can find, white button-down polos that makes anyone look like Kate Moss without a brassiere inside, (speaking of brassiere) lace lingerie in the daintiest shade of black ever, chic ballet flats (yes, there are days when you just have to wear flats), the highest pair of black and nude pumps, denim cut-offs that lets my legs look like mile-long ones, dark red lipstick, nail polish in the darkest shade of plum, and black mascara. These are pretty much what I need to get me through any day.

Being an avid follower of everything classic and basic, I tend to stock up on everything in plain colour - well, actually I just tend to stock up on everything in plain black and white or any dark hues for that matter. I have this thing about olive lately. For me, clothing (or accessory) pieces in the darkest shade of olive are reminiscent of Victoria Beckham.

The story behind this post is so random; it was taken on a lazy Sunday morning while everyone is lounging around in the couch (a typical Sunday for us in the flat) watching paid TV. I find the lazyboy in our apartment very cozy and since it's leather, it has this sexy vibe going on. So, we decided to take photos and here are some of my favourite shots.

I want to keep everything simple since I wanna put the attention to this rose gold leaf necklace by designer Inbar Shahak. This necklace reminds me of delicate lace fabric, thus this is perfect for those whose style is more towards feminine. You can purchase this beautiful neckpiece at 10% off in Pinwheel Jewels when you use the code PRGIRL10 and purchase a minimum order of SGD100 from now until 18 April 2014.

It's Friday! Happy weekend loves! X
