#100DAYSOFSUMMER: DAY 7 - INSTAGRAM DIARY

This is a part of the #100DaysOfSummer project of The PR Girl Closet, and we are now on Day 7!

Day 6, 9:30 AM, Singapore

The previous week has been very exciting for The PR Girl Closet. I decided to contact more designers and shop owners for possible collaborations with my blog and I have been successful in getting some. As we speak, I am thrilled to announce that we will have more blog posts that are dedicated to specific designers and shops in Singapore. It has been a fun and exciting week indeed! And with the launch of #100DAYSOFSUMMER project, I am always excited to wake up each day and write something new in the blog. Blogging has always been in my list of to-do's every year and this year, it came true and I am really taking the time to write something new every day to keep the blog fresh and updated. I want to thank my readers for your support and admiration for the blog. I even have male friends who admire what I write even though they're not really into fashion. Every week, I collate all the photos I posted on Instagram and dedicate one blog post just for these filtered photographs. This is what my Instagram feed looked like last week. Enjoy!

I swear by Instagram and Facebook in discovering new shops and designers. Every day, I discover something new - whether it's a new local label, a new online shop, a new campaign, a new supermodel, and the list goes on. Hailed as the best social media channel for branding, Instagram is a huge help for labels - especially the upcoming new ones - who want to have more followers and gain a better awareness of their brand. Social media is a powerful tool in doing so.

People who like to look at gorgeous photos (like myself) are huge fans of Instagram since it captures your attention through filtered images and 15-second videos.

Anyway, the previous week has been amazing at discovering new names in the Singapore fashion scene. My love for resort wear just went a level up when I discovered Vamastyle, Simone Irani and THEWYLDSHOP. If you're feeling a little adventurous and chic and think your wardrobe needs a little boost in colours or prints, check out these shops.

THEWYLDSHOP is an online retailer of various high street Australian fashion, accessories and beauty labels that are based in Singapore. They offer free local delivery in Singapore and free international shipping with orders above $150. Isn't it great? I visited their showroom yesterday and met Kara, the owner. Watch out for the blog post tomorrow about my visit to their gorgeous showroom.

Simone Irani is a multi-label shop located at Cluny Court. If you fancy buying resort wear pieces in breathtaking colours and designs, then this is your go-to shop! The shop offers dresses, tunics, kaftans, beach cover-ups and much more. If you're heading for a beach holiday, you should drop by at their shop and treat yourself to a fun shopping spree.

Two more highlights for the previous week is when my best friend flew to Singapore and we had a great time catching up. She gave me lessons on living and eating healthy. She looks like a supermodel and she's very obsessed about eating healthy and working out. She even bought books about healthy eating and checks every ingredient in each food she buys at the grocery store. Another highlight is when we threw a surprise party for our friends who are about to tie the knot next month. It was an evening full of laughter (we didn't hire a stripper for her bridal shower, her fiancĂ© acted as one and all the while she was blindfolded she thought it was a Latino stripper. Haha!), love and tears.

Hope you had a fantastic week too and have a fabulous week ahead!
