Kate Moss has proven that all you need to look damn sexy is a lacy brassiere and a pair of tight jeans.
For the blessed belles who possess mile-long legs, not to mention skinny mile-long legs, jeans is absolutely a staple in their closets. Growing up with such a conservative father whose idea of a fashion statement is a pair of jeans and basic collared shirts, I am no stranger to the power of this wardrobe staple. Jeans has evolved from its humble roots in the 18th century where workers used to wear them in all its 100%-made-of-cotton glory. Now it is celebrated in its reincarnation in the form of skinny, wide-legged, high-wasted, you name it. Every woman has at least one pair in her closet for those I-have-nothing-to-wear moments.
As I was contemplating on the look of my first outfit post, I quickly rummaged through my mobile closet (since my entire one is in Singapore and yes, I always have this I-have-nothing-to-wear moments here) and found the jeans tucked away in the bottom of my maxi dresses and pencil skirts. Since I am about to go back to Singapore next week to work and am mandated not to wear jeans except Fridays (with the exception of not meeting a client), I succumb to the idea of wearing this pair until I have the chance to do so.
Jeans paired with a feminine top can look feminine even without the frou-frous. With weather as hot as that of the Philippines, one can never be summer-y dressed enough. I decided to play it safe by pairing it with a backless peplum top and a low-back cami. One thing about me is that I hate wearing a bra (seriously!) so I consider myself lucky for having such a small chest (or lack thereof). I can get away with not wearing a bra when wearing camisoles - or any other type of clothing, for that matter - without having to worry about strangers looking strangely at that area. For those who hate wearing a bra - like me - but still need some coverage here and there, you may opt to wearing nipple pads instead.
