This is a part of the #100DaysOfSummer project of The PR Girl Closet, and we are now on Day 12!

Asia’s largest yachting, boating and luxury lifestyle event, The Singapore Yacht Show, was officially opened by Minister Iswaran on Thursday afternoon at ONE°15 Marina Club. My weekend started with Day 2 of the luxurious Singapore Yacht Show where I attended with my girl friends.

THE PINWHEEL SERIES: STATEMENT JEWELLERY

This is a part of The Pinwheel Series presented by Pinwheel Jewels, a designer fashion jewellery multi-label online store. Check out the fabulous collections at http://www.pinwheeljewels.com/

Having a knack for statement accessories (hello chunky and heavy bangles and big bold cocktail rings!), I have always been drawn into designs that I haven't seen anywhere before. Statement jewellery has been my constant companion when I feel down (just like bright lip colours to some women). Since I love dressing up, I find statement jewellery most appealing especially if they come in jewel tones like shades of turquoise and coral. As soon as I laid my eyes in this Kenneth Jay Lane deco pendant black cord necklace, I knew it was love at first sight.

LAST WEEK'S INSTAGRAM DIARY

Filtered images became a part of my everyday (online) life. The obsession with sharing photos on Instagram continues to run in my system since God knows when. I often catch myself taking random snapshots of random things I find in random places, cropping them, choosing between countless choices of filters, and sharing them to the digital universe. Kevin Systrom sure did a fantastic job in creating an obsession a trend that left thousands of people from all over the world, from age 10 to 80, hungry for the need to take selfies and share them to the world. And yes, I am (unapologetically) a part of that Instagram-obsessed generation.

THE PINWHEEL SERIES: SILVER LINING

This is a part of The Pinwheel Series presented by Pinwheel Jewels, a designer fashion jewellery multi-label online store. Check out the fabulous collections at http://www.pinwheeljewels.com/

I wasn't a fan of fine jewellery as I thought it tends to lose in my crazy waves of hair and it doesn't appeal to me that much in a way that chunky, bold accessories do. And the fact that I always make it a point to dress up in such simple lines and clean silhouettes, jewellery, I thought, won't look good in my outfits. Jewellery, for me, is reserved for formal occasions like special dinner dates and fashion galas. I held on to that thinking until I learned about Pinwheel Jewels.

POSTCARDS FROM BALI

Seven days in Bali left me with a new skin that's at least two shades darker and an unforgettable experience. I learned that being alone can sometimes be fun too, as this can be an opportunity for you to know a lot of people and spend some time thinking. Being away from the busy life in Singapore for just seven days is a great experience and way to unwind away from the hustle and bustle of the city.  Here, I'm sharing with you some random photos I took while frolicking in the beaches of Bali alone in my swimsuit and sunglasses.

THE PINWHEEL SERIES: BOLD & BEAUTIFUL

This is a part of The Pinwheel Series presented by Pinwheel Jewels, a designer fashion jewellery multi-label online store. Check out the fabulous collections at http://www.pinwheeljewels.com/

Having brought up in a tropical country, the Philippines, I am always an advocate of resort wear dressing. Light dresses, short daisy dukes and breezy singlets always come in handy when the sun shines at its strongest. Living in the tropics allows us women to flaunt our healthy tanned skin in the skimpiest (and classiest) of outfits ever invented - and accessories (or excessories, as Rachel Zoe calls it) are the best armour we can ever have. I consider myself a lucky girl when Pinwheel Jewels provided me with various pieces from the current collection of designer jewellery for me to use for my Bali trip.

FLAT-OUT

Have you ever found yourself having to do something only to do something really far from what you ought to do? If this hasn't happened on you just yet, well to me, it happens almost often. Having an active imagination allows me to picture out things in their utmost unusual ways; sometimes even inappropriate ones, in just a snap. This happened this weekend when I was thinking of writing my next article for Secret {W} Business, but instead I took random stuff from the closet and ended up taking photos of them.

B+W

Black and white have always been synonymous to classy, classic, elegant and sexy. The absence of colour and the natural allure of blinding lights are just too sexy to ignore. Save for those who love their neons and pastels, black and white are the most popular favourite colours - or the absence of such - among women and men. Although Vogue and Harper's BAZAAR do love their colours, black and white has graced endless covers of such titles, sharing the limelight with supermodels and celebrities as Naomi Campbell, Angelina Jolie, Daria Werbowy and Christy Turlington, to name a few.

PAJAMA DRESSING

As boudoir dressing made its arrival in the fashion scene and we saw daring women wearing lingerie out in the public for all to see, pajama dressing slowly became a favourite of the not-so-daring types. Pajama dressing is the ultimate answer to the prayers of workaholic women who would love to have their time (and feet) off of the beautiful dangers of wearing high heels and tight pencil skirts.  With the advent of couture pajama dressing introduced by Marc Jacobs and popularised by the Olsen twins before we even realised it, women in the likes of Sophia Coppola or even Rihanna embraced pajama dressing in all its simplicity and the comfort it offers.

HOLIDAY

Temperature's dropping down (in my mind, at least), merchandise at shopping malls and online shopping sites are on sale, twinkling fancy lights are everywhere and suddenly it's the season of Santa Claus once again.

CROP

Crop tops and bralets are huge trends in the 90s. This is what seemed to be a reason for an obsession to slave in the gym for hours to achieve that covetable flat stomach (or better yet that four-to-six-pack abs if you've been slaving enough) and in turn, be able to wear those crop tops a la Mel C of Spice Girls.

JEAN

Kate Moss has proven that all you need to look damn sexy is a lacy brassiere and a pair of tight jeans.
