Introduced by Coco Chanel and popularised by Audrey Hepburn, the little black dress has been a classic item and a requisite piece in a woman's closet. Being in love with everything simple, sophisticated and classic pieces with clean silhouettes, the little black dress has always been my favourite item of clothing ever since I was introduced to the world of fashion.
The little black dress has been every woman's go-to piece of clothing when they have those I-have-nothing-to-wear moments (same goes with the perfect pair of stove pipes). When I was starting my way to climb up the career ladder, I was always seen all garbed up in slim, perfect-fitting pencil skirts paired with soft button-downs and high court pumps, waist cinched by either a skinny belt in striking colours or thick ones in subdued tones - that, or the classic LBD paired with high stilettos, messy unkempt hair (which doesn't look as horrible as it sounds) and smokey eyes.
As I write this post, I am contemplating whether to cut my hair or not. In any given instance, I will prefer my hair as long and big as it could be but when I looked at Victoria Beckham online while looking for inspirations for a shoot, I can't help myself but die with admiration for her perfectly-chiseled cheeks, sleek bob cut, and a man as gorgeous as her hubby in her arms.
On another note, it's Chinese New Year in this part of the planet today and we have a three-day-holiday (insert celebration emoticon here)! Speaking of which, I gotta start cooking for BBQ this afternoon. I am so proud that I can say "I have to start cooking" at any given point when exactly two years ago, I can barely make sunny side up eggs and instant noodles. Ciao!
