PAJAMA DRESSING

As boudoir dressing made its arrival in the fashion scene and we saw daring women wearing lingerie out in the public for all to see, pajama dressing slowly became a favourite of the not-so-daring types. Pajama dressing is the ultimate answer to the prayers of workaholic women who would love to have their time (and feet) off of the beautiful dangers of wearing high heels and tight pencil skirts.  With the advent of couture pajama dressing introduced by Marc Jacobs and popularised by the Olsen twins before we even realised it, women in the likes of Sophia Coppola or even Rihanna embraced pajama dressing in all its simplicity and the comfort it offers.

I am always in favour of having my look put-together, polished and streamlined so the idea of wearing "pajamas" out in the public for everyone to see sends me shivers - until I laid my eyes on this two-piece beauty from Korea. I found this silk two-piece number when I accompanied my friends to an IT show where they ought to buy a new laptop and some cool techy gadgets (that I absolutely have no idea how to use). As they struggle on rows and rows of laptops, cameras, iPads and everything in between, I was completely busy trying on tops, dresses, accessories and skirts in the room next to the IT show.

I love that this number can be dressed up or down depending on how you accessorise it. You can actually take this on a night-out - just slip on your highest heels and pile on the gold accessories and you're good to go! For a more casual take, pair it with your flats, put your hair up in a bun and stash in all your essentials in a weekend leather bag.
