#100DAYSOFSUMMER: DAY 28 - INSTAGRAM DIARY

Day 28, 9:00 AM, Laguna, Philippines

Since I came back to my hometown, my days primarily consist of being in front of the laptop typing away like a mad person and updating my blog (I've been good at updating it regularly so far), looking for the perfect PR job online and trying to reunite with good old friends by talking to them on various social media platforms. I didn't do anything new this week except to play lasertag and Guitar Hero (which doesn't sound very exciting but it is indeed super fun!) for the first time.

#100DAYSOFSUMMER: DAY 21 - INSTAGRAM DIARY

Day 21, 12:01 AM, Laguna, Philippines

The previous week was a week full of emotions. Well for starters, my week started with such a rush that I need to go pack my suitcases, book a flight back to Manila, say goodbye to my loved ones in Singapore and fly back to my hometown the next day. Yep, that all happened in one whole day. It was kind of devastating for me to go through all that dramatic stage once again in my life. Apparently, I had problems with my working visa (for the nth time) and couldn't extend my social visa any further so I had to go back home. As a highly optimistic person that I am, I always believe in keeping a positive outlook towards everything. You see, I encountered this problem not once but six times in the whole of my stay in Singapore but that didn't tear my brave soul apart and still, I continued my quest to fight for that covetable working visa to fulfill my dream.

INSTAGRAM - Week of February 10, 2014

Oh how fast days went! I can't believe we're already in the middle of February. It seems quick especially now that our lease in our flat will expire at the end of the month so my friends and I are always busy looking for a new one - which leaves me to thinking that it's less than two weeks from now so we have to find a new flat pronto! 

INSTAGRAM - Week of January 27, 2014

Instagram has always been fantastic in rounding up the events of any given week with its filtered images and its amazing ability to make anyone me believe that the week that just gone by is by far amazing than the previous one. Social media has been the millennial's armour in our constant battle with stress; some may not consider, but I, for one, really use social media to relieve stress from all external factors around me. I have this amazing ability to cope up with stress with just staring at beautiful photographs. And just like that, one moment later, all the stress is gone.

LE SMOKING

When smoke gets in your eyes, hurry up and go grab a camera, toss that wavy hair and capture the surreal moment. I don't smoke but I find a certain seductive glamour of black and white photographs with women having a smoke. 

FASHION TETRIS

What is it with Sunday afternoons that require metallics, sunscreens and body oil? Margaret Zhang inspired me to lay out random stuff on a clean background, take photos and share them to the digital world. In her book, Margaret called this Fashion Tetris; apparently, she got the inspiration from the game we used to obsess about when we were kids.

If too much social activity is a crime, then I declare myself guilty. Living in a city where everyone is glued on in their smartphones and working in an industry where it is deemed archaic should you not have at least one social media account, I am overtly exposed to the sin of committing too much social activity.
